Looks like there’s a seriously complicated Optimus Prime papercraft available at paper replika. Before you go galloping off into the paper world to work on this, it should be noted that this model is CRAZY detailed. I’d only attempt this if you have a serious amount of time to work on it. Also, the model itself isn’t totally finished. It looks like only the body and head are finished. So papercraft at your own risk!
Medicom releases pretty cool vinyls regularly. I’m a huge fan of the crossover stuff that anyone pushes out. Check out this Mickey x Jack Skellington vinyl.
rehacer, a brand out of Japan (why do they have all the cool sh*t?) comes out with several takes on the Disney’s pride and joy, Mickey Mouse. One of the shirts ‘mickey threat’ looks like a play on the minor threat album cover. not sure, but the doc martens was a give away. anyway, who knows, I just love Mickey.
Looks like George Lucas is creating another Star Wars cartoon series, but this time targeting Pre-school and Kindergarten. I know most die hard fans are going to hate this, but personally I think it’s a cute idea and it’s a great way to introduce the kids to Star Wars in a fun and kiddie way. I’d much prefer they do it this way than making the movies kid-like… oh wait that happened already…. nevermind.
College Humor has a funny skit titled ‘The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Use Their Weapons’. The really funny thing about this is the original comic was pretty hard core and actually had the turtles killing people. Somewhere between the comic and where it is now, the turtles became cute lovable turtles who never actually used the weapons to hurt anyone. Where’s the fun in that?
