You can actually print your own 3D objects now, with Makerbot CupCake CNC.  The kits are under $1000 and there are so many shapes that you can choose from.  It’s crazy that you can actually start printing out your own plastic toys now!

DIY Guitar Kits

Looks like you can totally build your own electric guitar kit via MakerShed!  I remember in college I actually repaired my old guitar by soldering a connection that got pulled out when I was messing around.  The board never really looked that difficult, and figured I could probably do it myself if I wasn’t drinking or lazy :) .
